TONKO TONKO

Money habits for kids, with parents in control.

Allowance, chores and saving for families. No ads. Parents approve everything. Children earn through agreed jobs, split what they earn into three jars, and watch a goal come closer. Nothing happens without a parent's approval.

The idea

Small habits. A big tomorrow.

Most pocket-money apps are either a bank card with a cartoon on it, or a chore chart that forgets about the money. TONKO sits in between: no real money, no card, no trading. It is a family record of allowance that teaches the decisions, not the transactions.

The design constraint that shaped everything: a parent must be beside the child at every step. Jobs are confirmed by a parent, wishes go to a parent, and prices are never shown to a child. That turned a "feature list" into a small set of loops that are hard to get wrong.

Screens

The kid side, screen by screen

Calm, dark, and built around one decision at a time.

TONKO: Every euro gets a job.

Every euro gets a job.

Spend, save, grow. The child decides, week after week.

TONKO: Spend. Save. Grow.

Spend. Save. Grow.

New money waits until they choose where it goes.

TONKO: Waiting pays.

Waiting pays.

The Time Machine shows what a little every week becomes.

TONKO: Buy now, or wait?

Buy now, or wait?

Two futures side by side, before the money is gone.

TONKO: Learns by doing.

Learns by doing.

Short lessons for their age, one at a time.

TONKO: Tonko grows with them.

Tonko grows with them.

Stars from lessons unlock new outfits.

TONKO: The Money Lab.

The Money Lab.

Money experiments, with no real risk.

How it works

How it works

Everything a child can do is paired with something a parent confirms.

Jobs

Agree what gets done and what it is worth. The child marks it done, the parent confirms, the money lands.

Three jars

Spend for now, Save for a goal, Grow for later. Every euro gets a job before it disappears.

Goals and wishes

Children see how close they are. A wish goes to a parent to consider, not into a basket.

Grow plans

A parent can set a family bonus on what is saved, like a small interest rate inside the family.

Money Time Machine

Shows how small amounts add up over months and years, so waiting has a visible payoff.

Money Lab

Short, age-appropriate lessons, one at a time. No lectures, no busywork.

Tonko, the mascot

A character the child dresses up with rewards they earn. Stars from lessons unlock outfits.

TONKO Family

Free with one child. Family plan adds more children, grow plans, the Time Machine and every outfit.

Subscription and in-app packs via Google Play Billing. Prices are shown in the app, never to a child.

One app, three ways

Install once, use it the way your family works

  • 01

    Parent phone

Set up the family, jobs and allowance. Approve work, review wishes, manage grow plans.

  • 02

    Child phone

A simple, calm kid side. Connects to a parent with a code and never shows prices.

  • 03

    Hand-off

One phone, two people. The parent hands it over, the app pins to kid mode and only a PIN or biometrics bring it back.

Safe by design

What is deliberately not in it

  • No ads. Ever.
  • No bank card, no real money, no trading. TONKO is a family record of pocket money.
  • Children never see prices and cannot buy anything. Only a parent can.
  • No chat, no strangers, no public profile. Everything stays inside the family.
  • Export or delete family data at any time.

Try it

Money isn't a number on a screen. It's small decisions at the kitchen table.
